Strategist
In my work, I construct support systems and sustainable pathways to resources for black creatives & multicultural media content creators.
““To me, art is simply a way to provide people with different perspectives on the same thing.””
Social Media Management services include:
Social Media Strategy: Taking the existing brand research and applying that to your social media presence with custom strategies exclusively for Black Opal. This includes consistently developing the brand voice, the posting frequency, best practices for commenting, and engagement strategies.
Social Media Content Creation and Curation: I will curate content that speaks to the key elements of the brand that you want to highlight. Not only am I assisting with visuals but I'd be solely responsible for creating all social media copy.
Digital Relationship Building via Community: My work experience (Ebony, #blkcreatives, McDonald's etc) has sharpened my abilities to connect the dots between various brands and movements in a way that is authentic and mutually beneficial for all parties involved. Through this practice, I'm constantly paying attention to relevant news, trends, and happenings that align with your brand so that I can insert your brand into the conversation in an authentic way and create content that brings people together under your brand. This has been a proven technique for me to create engagement and help brands' meet their bottom line.
Utilizing My Cultural Nuance Skills: In my work, I've learned how to speak directly to a multicultural audience on social media, specifically Black and Brown audiences who have an enormous buying power (Nielsen reports that Black consumers are estimated to reach $1.54 trillion annually by 2020.) It takes a specific kind of tone, language, and delivery to make this happen and it's an underrepresented skill in social media.
